Description
Giffin Glacier is located trends N to Holmes Creek, 8 mi. S of Pongpong Mtn., 54 mi. NE of McCarthy, St. Elias Mts. 10 miles long.
History
Named by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1942 for C. E. Giffin, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) topographer who did considerable work in Alaska; in 1914 he worked in the White River area.
