Description
Gates Glacier is located trends S from Mount Regal to Kennicott Glacier, 12 mi. N of McCarthy, Wrangell Mts. 9 miles long.
History
Named by F. C. Schrader, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in 1899 for Edward Gates, a local prospector.
