Martin Islands is located off S coast of Alaska S of Cape Martin, 2.7 mi. SW of Katalla, Malaspina Coastal Plain
History
Name published in 1904 by USC&. Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 6), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), showed one island here called "Ostrov Kikhtak" or "Kiktak Island." It was an Eskimo name meaning "island."
