Description
Esther Island is located off NE coast of Kenai Peninsula, 20 mi. NE of Whittier, Chugach Mts. 12 miles long.
History
Named in 1794 by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN). The name is shown on Vancouver's chart but is not mentioned in the text (Wagner, 1937, p. 387).
