In Dangerous Passage, W of Chenega I. 50 mi. NE of Seward, Chugach Mts. 0.2 mile long.
History
Named in 1934 by USC & GS because the island divides the channel into nearly equal parts. The name reportedly is the Russian equivalent of "division."
