Description
Extends southwest from Prince William Sound to the Gulf of Alaska between Montague Island to the east and Knight and Latouche Islands to the west; 20 miles southeast of Chenega in the Chugach Mountains.
History
Local name reported in 1909 by Grant and Higgins (1910, pl. 2), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Name derived from nearby Montague Island. (AK-T1)
