Description

In Prince William Sound, SW point of Perry Island, 29 mi. NE of Chenega and 24 mi. SE of Whittier, Chugach Mts.

History

Named by the U.S. Navy for Captain Ellsworth Lincoln Bush, U.S. Navy (USN), (died 1957) who sailed Alaskan waters for more than 40 years in the service of the Navy and the Military Sea Transportaion Service. At his request, Captain Bush's ashes were strewn upon the water of Prince William Sound near the southwestern point of land on Perry Island.
