Description
Pakenham Point is located between Barry Arm Port Wells and College Fiord, 63 mi. kSE of Anchorage, Chugach Mtns.
History
Named in 1794 by Captain George Vancouver, Royal Navy (RN), probably for Sir Thomas Pakenham, the commander of the West Indies station in 1786, while Vancouver was serving there (Wagner, 1837), p. 40)
