Description
Jackson Hole is located on N coast of Glacier I., extends NE to Prince William Sound, 52 mi. NE of Whittier, Chugach Mts. 1.5 miles long.
History
Local name reported im 1908 by U. S. Grant (in Brooks and others, 1909, pl. 4), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Jackson Cove is on the south shore. This name may have been suggested by Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
