Description
Horseshoe Bend is located on Naknek River, at Horseshoe Point, between Chimenchun and Kanaknoli Points, on Alaska Peninsula, 6 mi. SE of Naknek, Bristol Bay Low.
History
Descriptive name given by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 1962 "because of a sharp curve in the Naknek River."
