Slate Creek is located flows SW to Goodnews River, 18 mi. NE of Goodnews, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
Probably a prospectors' name reported in 1919 by Harrington (in Brooks, 1921, pl. 7), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). So named because it flows over slate-like rocks in the upper part of its course.
