Description
Portage Creek is located heads in lake, in Kiokluk Mts., flows SE to Holitna River 6 mi. SW of its junction with Chuilnuk River, 45 mi. SW of Sleetmute, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
Locally named because the stream heads in a pass which is a portage bet Kuskokwim and upper Holitna Rivers; reported in 1945 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
