Description
Eightmile Creek is located flows NE to Kuskokwim River, 8.8 mi. NW of Red Devil and 15 mi. NE of Sleetmute, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim. 11 miles long.
History
Named in 1910 at the time of the Georgetown gold strike by prospectors who thought it to be 8 miles upstream from Georgetown on the Kuskokwim; name reported in 1943 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
