Description
Russian Mountains is located extends N from Kuskokwim River, E of Owhat River and 9 mi. NE of Aniak, Kilbuck-Kuskokwim Mts.
History
So named during the "Yellow River stampede" of the winter of 1900-01 because the Russian Orthodox Mission was located on the south edge of the mountain (Brooks and others, 1915, p. 300).
