Description
Kikhtak (historical) is located on an unidentified island in Kuskokwim River, about 20 mi. NE of Bethel; Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
History
Eskimo settlement, now abandoned, reported in 1878-79 by E. W. Nelson, U.S. Signal Service. meaning "island people." in 1890 (Kikikhtagamiut). The exact location of this place is not known.
