Description
Extends NE into the Bering Sea, at Sarichef Strait, on the NW end of Saint Matthew Island.
History
This cape appears to have been named "M[ys] Slavy [Slava] Rossii", "Cape Glory of Russia", by the Russian Hydrographic Department (Chart 1427) in 1849, for Lieutenant Sarichev's ship which was anchored off the coast here July 14, 1791 (Old Style (O.S.) calendar).
