Description

In the Chugach Mountains near the head of the Eagle River, 7.5 mi. NE of Moraine Pass, 25 mi E of Anchorage, Chugach Mountains.

History

Named in 1963 by members of the Mountaineering Club of Alaska; derived from Tanaina Indian name "Yuklahina" or "Yukla" meaing "Eagle river." Reportedly the highest in the Eagle River drainage.
