History
Descriptive name reported by Lieutenant Illiam Gibson, U.S. Navy (USN), a member of the North Pacific Exploring Expedition in 1855. The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) Chart 9198 (1947) shows the above name, but was also published in 1948 as "Brewer Peak" on an Army Map Service (AMS) map.
