Description
Mount Sergief is located on W central Atka I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Named "Sergheieff" by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 311, 312), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). The name Mount Sergief was published by Coats (1946 p. 3), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), applied to a feature located at 521900N1742300W, on the Cape Korovin peninsula. Mount Sergief is shown on a 1952 U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) map on eastern Atka I. near Sergief Bay.
