Crater Creek is located heading on NE slope of Okmok Caldera, flowing NE to N coast of Umnak I., Aleutian Islands.

Name published by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) (Byers, 1959, pl. 41). So named because it heads on a caldera or crater.
