Description
Emerald Island is located off SW tip of Unalaska I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Descriptive name given by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1936, because, "during the summer months, this island, which is about 200 ft. high, and entirely grass covered, is a brilliant green color."
