In Andreanof Islands., small island N of the W end of Umak Island and S of Grat Sitkin Isalnd; Aleutian Islands. 1 mile long.
History
Aleut name published as "O(strov) Asukhsakh," or "Asukhsakh Island," by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 28), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN). possibly come from the Aleut word "asux" which according to R. H. Geoghegan, means "clay pot" or "boiler."
