Description
Barnard Point is located on the S coast of Adak I., 11 mi. NE of Turret Point and 5 mi. SE of Boot Point; Aleutian Islands.
History
this feature appears to have been named by U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF) during World War II. A note in Board on Geographic Names (BGN) files states it was named by George Grey Barnard, 1863-1938, American sculptor.
