Description
Iksiak Point is located between Udamak and Naginak Coves, at head of Anderson Bay, central Unalaska I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Named by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1937. The name was derived from the Aleut name for nearby Anderson Bay-Iksiaktak." The name maybe a form of the word, "ixsik," meaning "burning."
