Lava Point is located on SE coast of Segaum I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Descriptive name given by a special U.S. Navy survey party because the point forms the terminus of an extensive lava-flow; published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1944 Aleutian Coast Pilot (p.85).
