Descriptive name published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1944 Aleutian Coast Pilot (p. 74); so named because the feature consists "of a long, thin wall of rock with a 75 foot arch to form the point proper, and a group of 10 tall pinnacles close by * * *."
