Translation of an Aleut name "Satanna," meaning "of the birds," recorded by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 324), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN); published in 1848 as "M(ys) Ptichiy" (from ptitsa) on Russian Hyrog. Dept. Chart 1400.
