History
Local name reported by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1871. Father Veniaminov (1840, v.1, p. 184) called it "Imagninskoe." It was reported as "Indian Bay" by G. Davidson, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1869.
