History
So named by Ingenstream (complete name not available) or Captain Lutke, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), about 1830 and published as "Koourovskaia baie" by Lutke (1836, p. 315). Called "Zaliv Kovurova," or "Kovurova Bay" by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 27), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
