History
Named O(strov)Ap(ostol)Andrenika in 1847 on Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1379, for the apostle Andrew. W. H. Dall lists "Yasni" (clear), and "Foggy Island" as variant names in the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) Report for 1872 (p. 195).
