Description
Seal Cape is located on S coast of Unimak I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Named in 1888 by U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF). Capt Tebenkov (1852, map 26), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), published the Aleut name as "Mys Kishnak." Early charts showed the name "Cape Khituk (Scotch Cap)" but this was an error in the application of that name.
