Description
On N coast of the Alaska Peninsula, 4 mi NE of the mouth of Cathedral River and 19 mi NE of Moffet Point and 33 mi. NE of village of Cold Bay, Bristol Bay Low.

Named by Captain Lutke (1836, p. 261) Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), for Lieutenant Alexander Leontovich, Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), a member of his party on his voyage around the world, 1826-1829.
