Akun Head is located on N coast of Akun I., Aleutian Islands.
History
Named about 1900 by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS). It was called Mys Syvernoy, meaning "North Cape," by Captain Tebenkov (1852, map 26), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN).
