Mine Harbor is located on SE arm of Herendeen Bay, 16 mi. SW of village of Port Moller, near SW end of Alaska Peninsula, Aleutian Range
History
Named in 1890 by U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) "for a coal mine opened in the vicinity in 1888."
