Description
Formed by damming the Alabama River, 2 miles west of the village of Millers Ferry, and 10 miles northwest of Camden.
History
Named by Congressional action, Public Law 91-583 on December 24,1970, for the late Probate Judge William "Bill" Dannelly, a leader in the modernization of the Alabama and Coosa Rivers.
